Human rights are rights that every individual human has, regardless of individual differences. Human rights include the right to equality, freedom from discrimination, and the right to life, liberty, and security, among many others. Unfortunately, many individuals have their human rights infringed upon, including many LGBTQ+ individuals, trans individuals, and many people of color and different cultural backgrounds. As part of our mission, the One Life Project works to create equality for all, no matter their path in life. By advocating for all individuals, including those often marginalized, we can push forward to strengthen public policy, help create new laws toward equality, and support individuals who are discriminated against. Part of our mission is to educate, assist, and advocate for LGBTQ+ youth and young adults, people of color, and those who are marginalized or face discrimination.

Equality

Equality is all about ensuring that every individual has an equal opportunity at making the most of their lives and showcasing their talents, while being true to who they are. Regardless of how you were raised, where you were born, or what chances you had growing up, individuals should have equal chances at opportunities of growth and becoming successful. Fairness, justice, equity, and equality is necessary in social policy and promoting the good of people. Weeding out systemic inequalities is necessary to ensure everyone in a community has access to the same opportunities, outcomes, and future. Equality provides fair treatment and equal opportunities to all regardless of their race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, socioeconomic status, disability, or mental health.

LGBTQ+ pride (pride) is the celebration and acceptance of all individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community including lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual people as well as those questioning their gender and/or identity.

The One Life Project works to create an inclusive environment where we promote education, advocacy, and support for all LGBTQ+ youth and individuals in hopes of creating a world both online and off where LGBTQ+ youth can feel comfortable expressing themselves and being true to who they are.
